Reviews of Gamagara Africa Private Nature Reserve

We stayed at Gamagara for two nights in December and had a wonderful experience. The staff and service were exceptional, and we enjoyed all our meals at the restaurant. We went on one of their game drives and saw a good variety of animals; although we only spotted the white rhino the following day as we were leaving, it still felt special. The bed was very comfortable, complete with a mosquito net and great pillows. Don’t let the 12 km bumpy road put you off — it’s absolutely worth it.

The place is amazing (some quick fixes are due for little things like a hinge here and there, but amazing nevertheless). What makes it really above expectations is the Team - Liz (Supvisor), Johan(Assisitant manager), Lydia (Kitchen), Madeleese(chef) - yes, I do consider them as my friends after this gorgeous and welcoming stay. Gewoon echt goed. Was elke lodge maar zoals dit. Daniel en team, voortreffelijk werk! Gamedrive fantastisch, faciliteiten geweldig, dinner en ontbijt, tot in detail geregeld, beleving op en top, gewoon echt een aanrader.

The food was amazing and the animals were rather tame.
