Very nice spot with a nice view. Rooms are very clean and in good shape. The owners are very nice and flexibel. Only remark that the pool wasn’t clean at all and the restaurant was temporary closed. If this is open it is a perfect Place to stay.

We recently celebrated our 6th anniversary with a weekend getaway at Blue Gum Country Estate, and it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, the serene setting and warm welcome made us feel right at home. The estate's location is simply breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views—a perfect escape from the city. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and grateful for such a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with excellent hospitality, Blue Gum Country Estate is a gem. We can't wait to return!

Having your morning coffee while watching springboks grazing between the barren winter vines was absolutely amazing. Blue Gum Country Estate was the perfect place to unwind and relax, we especially loved our morning visit from Skye the friendly collie. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a lovely time with our grandparents, child and dog renting two units at the Bluegum Country estate, enjoying the tranquility, the playground and the space around us.

We stayed in the villa at Blue Gum. A beautiful, very spacious house at the top of the hill, looking over the valley on the one side and up at the mountain on the other. We enjoyed multiple chill areas, depending on where the sun was at the time of day. We had friends and kids with us. Our five year old boy loved catching frogs and fish with his hand net in the ponds around reception. Our eight year old girl enjoyed playing tennis and lying by the pool while the boys and men went bundubashing down to the river where we saw some bushbuck and plenty of exciting animal spoor (clawless otters, porcupines, smaller bokkies and what must have been caracal). Anton, our host, was a legend. He went out of his way to make sure all of the activities were in order for us and the kids. The house is perfect for entertaining and chilling, so that is what we did. My family and i had an amazing stay, the food was good the service better , only to be surpassed by the scenery and stunning sun sets/rises. This place caters for and allows for complete relaxation, as we could sit on our enclosed balcony and listen to various bird species ( and we could even see some springboks grazing in the field). The location also lends itself as platform to visit nearby towns that will take you from a river cruise to shark cage diving.

General comment:- The venue suited our requirements with 7 pax having a 52 year, social reunion. Breakfast was standard fare and adequate. Access and exiting Blue Gum CE was very difficult at this time following recent severe flooding. Some maintenance upkeep required on some doors and window handles and latches. I had the pleasure of staying at Blue Gum for a week with a group. It was amazing. Rooms were lovely, very spacious an impeccably decorated, the food was simply gorgeous, every single meal, the surroundings stunning and the staff wonderfully accommodating and helpful. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast and pleasant walks around the Estate and the hills behind. Also, close to the other attractions in the Stanford area. Dirt road was a bit muddy with the recent rain, but easily passable in a salon car.

Blue gum estate offers a serene country visit with beautiful mountain views, springbok in the fields as you drive in and developing vineyard behind the mountain view cottages. Staff are warm and welcoming. Food was amaxing and the rooms are neat, clean and fully equipped with almyour home comforts. A great family stay
