Medical Visa from South Africa to India Description

A medical visa is meant for a person whose health is not in the best of condition and cannot receive appropriate medical treatments in his/her home country.
You are guaranteed to receive appropriate medical attention.
A letter of invitation from the medical institution is required for the visa to be issued.
Doctor’s report stating the nature of the illness and the duration of stay in the country.
Within 14 days of arrival in India, you are required to register at the Foreigner’s Registration Office in Delhi if you need an extension to the 6-month expiry on your visa.
The visa is processed during a minimum of 5 days.
You have to exit the country after a period of 6 months if you don’t get an extension on your visa.
You are not allowed to work while in the country.

A correctly filled and signed application form.
Two colored passport sized photographs that is no more than 3 months old.
A recent bank statement (preferably for at least 2 months prior) showing that applicant has sufficient funds in the account. Also, there should be a proof of continuous cash flow.
Travel itinerary.
Letter of invitation from sponsor if you are going to the country to visit a friend or relative.
Confirmed return ticket back to your home country.
Proof of accommodation for the duration for your time.
A valid passport which has at least 3 months validity from the period of departure with a page for the visa.
