Tugela River Lodge is a self-catering Eco Lodge, located on a private cattle and game farm on the banks of the Tugela River, near Winterton, KZN, South Africa. We use solar power and gas to run our lodge and are completely off the grid.
The lodge has been in the Green family for over 20 years. They have a passion for mountain biking, trail running, and the great outdoors. An annual well-known mountain bike race and trail run take place in the area.
We do not have a TV here. We urge people to come here to experience nature and to get out and walk, ride, hike, run, fish, swim, paddle and enjoy time away from their cellphones. In this modern day, it is sometimes difficult to catch a break from the fast-paced life of technology, and we offer you a great opportunity to get away from it all!
