If you are visiting someone in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should include the home address of the host.
If you are in the country for tourism purposes, a copy of confirmed hotel reservation should be presented.
People under the age of 20 should ensure they possess a consent form signed by both parents. They should also have the original copy of their birth certificate.
Proof of payment of visa application fees.
It is mandatory for visitors to have a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
Visitors should ensure they are immunized against hepatitis A and hepatitis B.
A return ticket to South Africa is needed.
You are expected to leave the country at the end of your time in the country.

Valid passport that does not expire for 6 months after the date of exit from Chad. The passport should have two blank pages facing each other.
