South Africans applying for this visa aim to enter Latvia to maintain business relationships with already existing partners or to build up relationships with new partners.
During business meetings between you and your partner, you can negotiate and sign contracts and agreements.
You can attend conferences, trade fairs and business summits while in the country.
A letter from your employer in South Africa should be provided. Your position in the company, duration and purpose of your visit should be stated in the letter.
The company you are meeting up with in the country should provide a letter of invitation. If the company is going to be in charge of your expenses during your stay in the country, it should be stated in the letter.
Certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting up with in Latvia is mandatory.
If you have been in business with the company you are meeting with, proof of this is required.
You cannot be paid for any of the services you render in the country.
If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
You are required to leave the country as soon as your visa expires.
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory.

Valid national passport. The visa should be valid for 6 months after exit from the country. The passport should have one blank page for entry stamp.
Completed visa application form which should carry the necessary signatures and stamp.
One recent passport-size photograph taken with a white background. The passport should follow the photo specification for a visa application.
Bank statement which is not older than 3 months from the period of entry to the country. This is proof that you can cater for yourself during the period of your stay in the country.
Valid travel insurance.
Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country.
Return and onward ticket.
Copy of travel itinerary.
