This visa allows people to visit the country for recreation or holiday.
The visa is also used for short-term non-work purposes.
Tourists in Sweden are required to have SEK450 for your upkeep every day in the country.
You should be willing to abide by the rules and regulations of the country.
Non-South African citizens must present the original copy of their South African resident permit.
Children under 18 years traveling alone must have a written parental consent verified by Commissioner of oath.
Return flight to South Africa specifying entry and exit dates.
Receipt of confirmed paid visa application fees.
The visa fee costs SEK1000.
It takes about 15 – 30 days for the visa to be processed.
This visa type ceases to be valid after a period of 90 days.

Correctly filled and stamped copy of application form. The form should be signed twice.
Proof of payment for the visa.
International passport which has a validity of at least 3 months after intended exit from the country.
Travel insurance which must be valid throughout the stay in the country.
A copy of bank statement dating back at least 3 months showing that you can fend for yourself during the stay. If you have a sponsor in Sweden, a letter from the person should be provided stating the same.
Travel itinerary showing entry and exit dates from the country.
A signed letter from your employer stating continuing employment after period of leave.
Letter of invitation from the person you are going to visit, if purpose is to visit a friend or relative.
Proof of accommodation spanning the duration of your stay in Sweden.
