The transit visa allows foreigners to make shortstops in the country.
Applicants of this visa do so if joining connecting flights to their final destination from Romania.
You could also be a seaman coming from a port in South Africa to join up with a ship at a port in Romania.
The flight ticket and the visa of your destination country should be provided.
If the applicant is a non-South African, a copy of your South African stay permit should be presented.
Minors should be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
The visa is valid for 5 days.
You should have a copy of your yellow fever vaccination certificate.

One copy of duly completed visa application form.
Bank statement which is not older than 3 months showing sufficient and sufficient flow of funds for the duration of your stay in the country.
Two 30 mm x 40 mm passport-sized photographs.
Return and onward ticket with entry and exit dates.
Copy of travel itinerary.
Proof of accommodation.
Two passport sized photographs not older than three months which is in accordance with the passport format for a visa application.
Valid passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of visa application. The visa should have one blank page.
