Foreigners who apply for the tourist visa intend to visit the country for tourism purposes. This include sightseeing, relaxation and recreation.
You can also visit friends and relatives while you are in the country.
If you are visiting a friend or relative in Monaco, you are required to present a letter of invitation containing the home address and telephone number of your host.
Documentation of hotel booking is required.
The original birth certificate of minors is to be submitted.
Travel itinerary that describes the purpose of the visit, the arrival & intended exit date.
Tourists are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment while in the country.
You cannot be enrolled in any institution of learning with this visa.
Receipt of paid visa application fees should be tendered.
South African stay permit is required for non-citizens.
You are expected to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of your visa.
For retirees, a proof of your retirement fund is needed.
You are expected to leave the country at the expiry of your visa.
Immunization against hepatitis A and B is recommended.
The visa is valid for 3 months and costs €60 for adults, €35 for children between the ages of 6-12 and free for children under 6.
Letter of financial support and bank statement from the sponsors of the trip should be submitted.

South African Passport which is valid for three months from the period of exit from the country is required. It must have at least one blank page for visa entry stamps.

Proof of accommodation for duration of stay.
Your travel document and that of your companions should be submitted with your travel itinerary.

If the applicant is a minor, parents/legal guardians will have to sign the visa application form and birth certificate for children younger than 12 is required.
Older passports that contain visa stickers or visa stamps.
Copies of bio-metric data in your passport.
The application for this visa should be done at least 2 weeks and not more than 3 months to the trip date.
