Foreigners who apply for the tourist visa intend to visit the country for sightseeing, relaxation and recreation purposes.
Friends and relatives in Mongolia can also be visited with this visa.
If you are visiting a friend or relative in Mongolia, you are required to present an invitation letter containing their home address and telephone number.
Proof of hotel accommodation is required if you'll be staying in a hotel during your stay.
Original birth certificate is required for minors applying for this visa.
Tourists are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment while in Mongolia.
You also cannot be enrolled in any institution of learning in the country with this visa.
Receipt of paid visa application fees should be tendered.
South African stay permit is required for non-citizens.
If you are retired, you should submit a proof of your retirement fund.
Avoid drinking tap water in the country as they are likely to be contaminated.
At the expiration of your visa, you are expected to leave the country.
Immunization against hepatitis A and B is greatly recommended.
The visa is valid for 3 months and allows a stay of 30 days which can be extended for another 30 days if you apply at least 4 days before its due date.
You are expected to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of your visa.
