Foreigners who apply for the tourist visa intend to visit the country for tourism purposes that may include sightseeing, relaxation and recreation.
You can also visit friends and relatives while in the country.
If you are visiting a friend or relative in Malta, you are required to present a letter of invitation from your host in the country. The letter must contain the home address and telephone number of your host.
Proof of hotel booking reservation must be submitted.
For minors, the original copy of your birth certificate is required.
You are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment while you are in the country with this type of visa.
This visa does not serve study purposes. Thus, you cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.
If you are traveling with a pet, the animal must have a microchip, rabies vaccination and official veterinary certificate.
Receipt of paid visa application fees should be tendered.
South African stay permit is required for non-citizens of South Africa.
You are expected to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of your visa.
You are expected to leave the country upon the expiration of your visa
The visa allows its holders multiple entry to the country.
The visa is valid for 3 months.
This visa costs 60€ for adults, 35€ for children between the ages of 6-12 and free for children under 6.

Valid South African passport with at least 3 months validity following departure from Malta. The passport should have at least two blank consecutive pages in the VISA section.

The application for this visa should be made not more than 3 months and not less than 15 days to intended visit.

A police report showing that the traveler does not have a criminal record.
