Student Visa from South Africa to Malta Description

This visa is for those with the intention of studying in the country.
Applicants of this visa must have been accepted into one of the institutions of learning in the country.
A letter of acceptance from the school which you have been accepted to should be tendered.
Transcripts and certificates from previous schools attended should also be tendered.
You are allowed to work part-time as long as it does not affect your study.
If you are a minor, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided. Also, the original copy of your birth certificate is needed.
You are allowed to extend your visa to cover the duration of your study in the country.
Receipt of paid visa application is required.
Holders of this visa are expected to follow the rules of this visa.
Valid Passport is required.
Two colored passport photographs as recent as six months.
Proof of Travel Medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30€.
Proof of accommodation is needed
Proof of financial subsistence for the duration of stay is also required.

Duly completed and signed visa application form.
Valid South African passport with at least 3 months validity following departure from Malta. The passport should have at least two blank consecutive pages in the VISA section.
Two recent passport sized photographs taken with a white background.
Proof of financial support.
Medical insurance.
Proof of accommodation.
Travel itinerary.
Birth certificate of children younger than 12.
The application for this visa should be made not more than 3 months and not less than 15 days to intended visit.
If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
Proof of return flight ticket to South Africa.
Travel documents.
Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
A police report showing that the traveler does not have a criminal record.
Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
