The business visa is meant for travelers visiting Malta to engage in various business activities.
With this visa, you can meet up with existing and intending partners in the country to develop and maintain business relationships.
You can negotiate and sign business contracts while you are in the country.
You can attend business summits, conferences and trade fairs while in the country.
A letter of invitation from your partner company in Malta is required before you can be issued this visa. The letter should have the office address of the company and the duration and purpose of your visit.
Certificate of business registration of the company should also be provided.
A letter from your current employer in South Africa should be provided. The letter should state that he is aware of your business leave and the duration of your leave. Your position in the company should also be stated.
If you are traveling with a minor, a letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
If you have prior business dealings with the company, proof of this is required.
You cannot be paid for any of the services you render while you are in the country.
The visa is valid for 90 days.

Valid South African passport with at least 3 months validity following departure from Malta. The passport should have at least two blank consecutive pages in the VISA section.
Two recent passport sized photographs taken with a white background.

Birth certificate of children younger than 12.
The application for this visa should be made not more than 3 months and not less than 15 days to intended visit.
If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
Proof of return flight ticket to South Africa.
Travel documents.
Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
A police report showing that the traveler does not have a criminal record.
Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
