This visa is issued to foreigners who  want to visit French Polynesia for leisure and tourism.  French Polynesia is an overseas country governed by France so to get into the country, applicants  will have to apply through the  French Embassy or consulate in their country. French Polynesia has its rules and regulations as regards getting visas and these should be strictly adhered to. Applicants are to get a visa application form filled online and make a photocopy of this available too.    The form should be filled for a short stay visa. Applicants are to book an appointment for a meeting at the embassy via the online booking system. If there are more than one applicant, they should all be present for the application and each person must have a separate visa application form.  Applicants would also need an Airport Transit Schengen Visa for going to French Polynesia through France.  Applicants' bio-metrics must be submitted during the application process. The forms should show your final destination which is French Polynesia. These are the necessary things to include when submitting your documents:   A valid passport with at least three months beyond the return date.   Two newly taken 35mmx45mm photographs .   The photos should be clear and must show about 70-80% of the applicant's face.   The photo should be taken on a white background.   The photo must not be older than 6 months to avoid differences due to facial changes.    There should be two blank pages in the passport for stamps. A valid means of identification such as birth or marriage certificates must be provided for the application process. Alongside the work permit, there should be a certificate that states the following:         The foreign employee's identity, nationality and address.         The name and address of the company where the foreigner would be working.         The reason for employment, the nature and duration of employment.         A signed statement that guarantees the employee would be regularly paid for the period of stay. If a work permit is granted,an employment card is made available to the applicant at the Service de l’Emploi, de la Formation et de l’Insertion professionnelles (SEFI). The work permit will be granted for a maximum of 6 months and it cannot be renewed.
