Niger, officially known as the Republic of the Niger is a West African country that shares borders with Libya, Chad, Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali and Algeria. The country is named after the Niger River and is the largest country in West Africa but has most of its land area in the Sahara Desert.

Holders of this visa cannot take up paid employment for a company in Niger during their stay. You cannot take up a course in any of the institutions of learning in the country. If you are visiting friends and relatives in Niger, a letter of invitation from your host should be presented.
