The Equatorial Guinea tourist visa allows foreigners to visit for the purpose of sightseeing, wildlife, relaxation and recreation. Those with the intention of visiting friends and relatives in Equatorial Guinea will also need this visa. Your passport must have a validity of at least six months after your trip date. If otherwise, you should consider getting your passport renewed before travelling. An invitation letter showing the valid home address & telephone number of the friend or relative you intend to visit in the country is needed. Otherwise, proof of hotel reservations will be required. During your time in the country, you are free to attend festivals and other social events. Proof that you are financially capable to support yourself during your stay in Equatorial Guinea must be provided. This is usually done by presenting bank or credit card statements. A copy of your round-trip or tour ticket is required. Applicants under 18, are required to provide their original birth certificates and a letter of consent signed by both parents if traveling without the parents. If the applicant is travelling with one parent, the other parent is required to sign a letter of consent. The Equatorial Guinea business visa allows South Africans visiting Equatorial Guinea to engage in various business activities. South Africans on this visa can attend business meetings and conferences, sign and negotiate business contracts with partner companies while in the country. A passport with at least six months validity must be provided. A recent passport photograph which follows visa requirements is needed for the application. Applicants of this visa who intend to attend business conferences in the country are advised to register for the conference before they leave South Africa. The certificate of registration will be needed for the visa application. A letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the duration and purpose of your visit to Equatorial Guinea. Proof of financial sponsorship from your company indicating that you are an employee and that the services you will provide in Equatorial Guinea. If the travel expenses of the applicant will not be covered by the company, this should be expressly stated in the letter.
