Applicants cannot take up paid or unpaid employment in the country neither can you seek for public funds. You cannot take up a course in any of the institutions of learning in the country. If you are visiting friends and relatives in Senegal, a letter of invitation from your host should be presented. Included in the letter should be the home address and a valid means of identification of your host. For non-South Africans visiting the country, a copy of your South African stay permit should be provided. Minors should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate. All travelers are required to have a yellow fever and meningitis vaccination certificate. Immunization against hepatitis A and B, tetanus, typhoid, cholera and malaria are recommended before traveling to Senegal. You are required to abide by the rules and regulations of your visa.

Business visa allows business travelers attend meetings, sign and negotiate contracts with the company they are visiting in Senegal. You can also attend trade fairs, conferences and business lectures. Receiving payment for services rendered during your time in the country is prohibited. A letter of invitation from the company you are meeting with in Senegal should be provided during the visa application process.
