Tourist visa allows travelers visit Senegal for sightseeing, recreation and relaxation. With a tourist visa, you can visit friends and relatives. Applicants cannot take up paid or unpaid employment in the country neither can you seek for public funds. You cannot take up a course in any of the institutions of learning in the country. If you are visiting friends and relatives in Senegal, a letter of invitation from your host should be presented. Included in the letter should be the home address and a valid means of identification of your host. For non-South Africans visiting the country, a copy of your South African stay permit should be provided. Minors should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate. All travelers are required to have a yellow fever and meningitis vaccination certificate. Immunization against hepatitis A and B, tetanus, typhoid, cholera and malaria are recommended before traveling to Senegal. You are required to abide by the rules and regulations of your visa.
